Eligibility Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age
-
Must possess an in-State class A CDL for operation of vehicle weighing 26,001 lbs or more
-
Must possess an in-State class B CDL with air brake endoremet for operation of vehicle weighing 10,001 lbs or more
-
Must posses a current DOT physical card
-
Must have a good motor vehicle record
-
Must be able to operate in the 48 continental United States and Canada
-
Must be able to work any shift, weekends and holidays as necessary
-
Must successfully pass a formal interview, written exam, driving test, pre-employment drug screen, Postal Security clearance, and company orientation
-
Must be able to read, write and speak English
-
Must have knowledge of DOT regulations governing hours of service, safe driving and vehicle inspections as well as interstate regulations governing capacities, routing, etc
-
Must NOT have any FELONY or MISDEMEANOR convictions in the past 10 years
-
Must have one year over the road experience in interstate commerce
-
Must be able to drive day cab or sleeper tractor with 48 to 53' dry van if operating under a CDL class A license.

Motor Vehicle Qualifications
If you have had any accidents, suspensions, revocation, or other driving conviction, you will want to review this complete list. Regardless of experience, all candidates must meet the following requirements:
- General Disqualifying factors

Applicant has had driving permit suspended once (or more) in the last three years, or twice (or more) in the last five years.

Applicant has had driving permit revoked once (or more) in the last five years.

Reckless driving or other similar offenses - 1 or more in the last three years, 2 or more in the last five years.

Any driving offense involving the use of drugs, alcohol, controlled substance, etc.-any conviction in the last five years.

All other traffic offenses (except parking violations)-3 or more in the last three years (or more than 1 in the last 12 months)-5 or more in the last four years. Any three convictions for the same offense are disqualifying, as they indicate a pattern of inadequate responsibility and disregard for law and order which may affect safety.

At-Fault accidents-2 or more, or any At-Fault accident resulting in a fatality in the last five years. An At-Fault accident means if you were fined, sued and received adverse judgment, if your insurance company settled for damages to other party, if you settled out of court, or otherwise were determined to be liable.

Hit and Run Offense-any conviction in the last five years. |

Criminal Records Qualifications
- Must complete and pass United States Postal Service screening forms to include fingerprinting. Qualification is at the sole discretion of the USPS. Generally, if you are past felon for crimes such as theft, breaking and entering, fraud, battery or assault, or if the crime involved the use of a weapon or you are currently on probation or parole, you will be disqualified immediately.
- No pending criminal charges.

Controlled Substance (Alcohol/Drug) Qualifications
- No alcohol or drug related convictions in the past five years in a personal vehicle, never in a commercial vehicle.
- No more than one conviction ever, including refusal to take test required by implied consent or similar law, violation of an "open container" or similar statue, and illegal transportation of alcohol.
- No conviction in the last five years for possession, sales, or transfer of narcotic drugs, amphetamines or derivatives. No more than one conviction ever.
